Made this study of a tomato today, using the sight-size method. Ie the subject and painting are placed as close together as possible, and the subject is depicted at the same size as in real life. Hope to make some portraits in this way soon...

Went outside this afternoon to make a cloud study. Has been some time since I went outside. I had forgotten how difficult it can be to paint outside. There was a lot of wind today, and I had to nail my easel to the ground to prevent it from blowing away...
