Postcard from Holland - Still life with avocados

Dear Friends,

Here is your daily postcard from Holland.

Had to paint these avocados quickly, as they go bad rather easily. Now, they have dark spots on them. Anybody know if they are still edible?

Postcard from Holland - Still life quince

Dear Friends,

Here is your daily postcard from Holland.

Still busy with wrapping up the Persingen-exhibition. It was a good exhibition, with some 8 paintings sold (including commissions). We were offered the opportunity to rent the church again on november 4th/5th. In this weekend we'll present a similar exhibition, with some additional works. The postcard project, unfortunately, is suffering a bit. Today however I managed to produce another painting. Yesterday I bought a load of quinces at the Ziekerstraat grocery store in Nijmegen. Don't know what to do with them yet, however. So a quince-study seemed like a good idea for a postcard.

Still life quince, 10x15 cm, oil on masonite.

Postcard from Holland - Still life with pear in bowl

Dear Friends,

Here is your daily postcard from Holland.

The postcard-frequency is somewhat low due to the time-consuming preparations of the Persingen-exhibition. Have been putting up banners today. Today, however, I managed to paint a small painting with my favorite fruit: the pear...

Still life with pear in bowl, 20x24 cm, oil on masonite.
