A Painting A Day Postcard from Holland is a project, in which I intend to paint a small ('postcard-size') oil painting each day, and post it to this blog. I will depict everyday objects, local fruits and dutch landscapes. In this way I hope to give visitors a day-to-day impression of my life as an artist in Holland.

One of the last new paintings for the exhibition in Persingen (18-19 July). Hope to do one more with strawberries, but have to finish the frames for the other paintings first (not easy in this searing heat..)

Last week I (kind of) finished the still life painting with the teapot. After adding the small vase, I worked on the entire painting again in another layer of paint, adding some finishing touches. The final layer enhances the sense of unity in the painting. This one will also take part in the show in Persingen on july 18-19th...
