Head Study
I started a larger painting (full figure) a couple of weeks ago but wasn't too happy about it. I still thought the part with the head was ok, so I'll call it a 'head study'. I recorded it with my webcam, see the youtube movie here...

Beautiful color and modeling of the form, Jos. Nice.
I agree with Candace, very nice modeling of the form Jos. Nice video too. And you're right about the problem with canvas that the darks are less dark compared to a panel. The fibres of the canvas pick up a little bit of light raising the value.
thnx.... hmm that's something to keep in mind for the next time.....
