Commanderie van Sint Jan, Nijmegen

Went plein air painting again yesterday, with fellow artist Rene. We chose the old 'Commanderie van Sint Jan' (1196) as a location. We picked a view wich was lit from behind, so the foreground looked rather cool in color. When I viewed the painting this morning though, it lookt rather warm in color. Probably the light outside was rather cool, influencing the judgement of colors in my painting. Hitting the right color in outside-light is still difficult for me.

Commanderie van Sint Jan, Nijmegen, 17x18 cm.

Great work, Jos. Love those bold, simple forms and the way they lock together.
